He has Risen! This is the chant of Christians all around the globe today.
He has Risen! The tomb is empty. Jesus is alive.
He has Risen! The biggest, deepest, darkest enemy of all, death, has impossibly been defeated.
He has Risen! The Roman authorities and religious elite, no matter how hard they tried, could not snuff out this threat to their power.
He has Risen! The ‘good guys’ won.
He has Risen! God’s plan, and the proclamations of the prophets from previous generations, has been fulfilled.
He has Risen! There’s nothing left to fear.
He has Risen! Our hearts are filled with joy instead of pain.
He has Risen! Our hope is alive and well.
He has Risen! We now know that there will be perfect peace.
He has Risen! There is no problem too big to overcome. Homelessness, addiction, mental health issues, corruption, environmental decay, violence and war all will be defeated.
He has Risen! We can all share in life eternal with the Saviour of the world.
He has Risen! He has risen indeed!

Easter Prayer
Our Lord Jesus,
You have risen to new life!
Give us new eyes with which to recognize your presence in the world around us.
Sharpen our vision so that we see beyond the ordinary events of each day and into the extraordinary reality of your grace.
Brighten our view of the world with renewed hope in the coming of your kingdom.
Soften our gaze so that we view others with the kind of tenderness and compassion you showed to so many.
May each day of this Easter season provide glimpses of your glory.
