Happy Easter everyone!
Today is THE biggest day of the whole Christian year.
Today is the day we remember that the saviour of the entire world conquered the biggest enemy imaginable: death.
Today is the day we remember that Jesus was raised from the dead, came out of his tomb, and is still alive and with us to this day.
Today is the day that the biggest possible seed of hope has been planted into our hearts.
As a result of the miracle of Easter, today and every day we live in hope.
Today we live in hope that the seemingly impossible can be made possible.
Today we live in hope that those who are blind can be made to see.
Today we live in the hope that those who are sick can be made well.
Today we live in hope that those who are addicted can become sober.
Today we live in hope that those who have no place to live can find a home.
Today we live in hope that those who feel unlovable can realize they are deeply loved.
Today we live in hope that those who are lonely can feel a deep connection to community.
Today we live in hope that those who seem to be dead can come back to life.
Today we live in the certainty that we can bring Easter hope to our world.
The hope of Easter is why we can continue to strive to be the hand of God in the heart of the city.
